/ Aleksandr Danilenko

He was born in 1977 in Komi ASSR and got involved in music at the age of 9. He took part in a children’s brass band of the House of Culture ‘Crystal’ conducted by P.P. Nikolaychuk. In 1992 he entered the academy for gifted children and youth of Saratov State Сonservatory in the class of Professor A.D. Selyanin (trumpet). In 1994–1999 Mr. Danilenko studied in Saratov State Conservatory named after L.V. Sobinov in the class of Professor A.D. Selyanin. While studying there he got a diploma of the International Young Musicians Competition in Volgograd (1995). In 1996 he got a diploma of the International Trumpet Players Competition in the honour of Brandt in Saratov.

 

While studying (1997–1998) he received a scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation.

 

In 1997 Mr. Danilenko went through the competition and became a member of the Russian-American symphonic youth orchestra, with which performed in New York (Carnegie Hall), Nashville, Miami, Budapest, Prague, Moscow, Saint Petersburg. In 1999 he was personally invited in the same orchestra. While studying in the conservatory he became a member of the concert orchestra ‘Volga-Band’.

 

Since 1997 he has been a soloist of Academic Symphonic orchestra of Saratov Regional Philharmonic named after A. Schnittke.

 

In 2002 he was granted a Local Government Award (sign).

 

In 2003–2005 he was a post-graduate student of Saratov State Conservatory in the class of Professor A.D. Selyanin.

 

Since 2010 he has been a teacher of brass and percussion chair of Saratov State Conservatory.

 

Laureate of the following competitions: 

- Ekaterinburg, 2004, 1st International Trumpet Players Competition in honour of V.I. Schiolokov, 1st place laureate, prize ‘For artistry’;

- Ekaterinburg, 2007, 2nd International Trumpet Players Competition in honour of V.I. Schiolokov, Grand Prix among the brass wind bands.

 

In 2006 Mr. Danilenko was granted a diploma of the Ministry of Culture of Saratov Region for a big contribution to the development of musical arts in the region.

 

Since 2003 till present he has been performing as a member of Brandt Brass Ensemble. In 2005 with the ensemble he took part in a conference of International Trumpet Players Organization in Thailand.

 

Worked with the following conductors: V. Gergiev, F. Mansurov, Yu. Simonov, E. Serov, Yu. Kochnev, D. Fisher, B. Ecklund, Lin Tao.

 

Went on tour in: Spain, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Thailand, Austria, Switzerland,South Korea, Greece, and Kazakhstan
