On the 8th of September 2008 Brandt Brass Ensemble opened its jubilee season with the laureate of the international competitions the soloist of the Russian national orchestra under the guidance of Pletnev Vladislav Lavrik.
The concert got the title “The Call of the Trumpet”.It took place in block # 10 of the Saratov State University. The programme was mostly composed of the solo things for the trumpet.
In the first part of the concert Vladislav Lavrik introduced to the audience the old concerts by V. Belliny, G.F. Telemann which were performed on the trumpet piccolo, the main thing was “Rhapsody in Blue” by G. Gershwin, in transcription of T.A. Dokshizer, and Vladislav encored with “Flight of the Humble bee”.
In the second part of the concert the main role was played by the trumpet players of the Brand Brass Ensemble. And the final part of the program was “The Wind” by Z. Krotil which was performed by the trumpet players of the Brandt Brass Ensemble and Vladislav Lavrik.
